TRAVEL TELEPHONE

Objective:

Send messages around the car and listen to the fun!

Game type:

Active. A lot of movement may be required.

Players:

2 to 6 players

Needed:

None

Rules:

This game is the same as Telephone but modified for car trips. Detemine the order by which you will pass the messages. In a car this will mean you\'ll need to pass messages to another near to you or in front of you. The \"originator\", usually the one who organized the game starts a message. The originator whispers a short message into the ear of the person sitting near them. The message is whispered once. The new messenger then whispers the message into the ear of the next person and so on and so on. When the message reaches the last person in the car, the message is announced out loud. Seldom does the message arrive in its original form. The next person in line gets to be the next originator.

Variation:

Start one message to the right then start a message to the left and see what happens. Tongue twisters are really fun messages to send.

Sample message:

There once was a frog name Rudderfuddy who wanted to be prince. He had a tiny sword and wore a princely crown. One day he set off to find a princess in the land of Tipplebuckle. There, he discovered a castle, swam across the moat and hopped to the top of the tower where he found the princess doing situps. They kissed and in a puff of smoke she turned into a frog!

Tongue twisters:

She sells sea shells by the sea shore.
The shells she sells are surely seashells.
So if she sells shells on the seashore,
I\'m sure she sells seashore shells.

A Tudor who tooted a flute
tried to tutor two tooters to toot.
Said the two to their tutor,
\"Is it harder to toot
or to tutor two tooters to toot?\"

A flea and a fly flew up in a flue.
Said the flea, \"Let us fly!\"
Said the fly, \"Let us flee!\"
So they flew through a flaw in the flue.

Lesser leather never weathered wetter weather better.

Friendly Frank flips fine flapjacks.

Gertie\'s great-grandma grew aghast at Gertie\'s grammar.
